Q:  Who are you?
Grace:  I am Grace.

Q: Tell us about your playlist.
Grace: a collaboration of songs between my sister and I. Some of my favorite songs rights now / ever. Mostly happy dance music.

Mae: The playlist is a culmination of songs we found over quarantine. I (Mae) got super into electronic music within the past couple years, particularly UK garage, which you can see influenced the mix. I think the playlist explicates Grace and I’s all-over-the-place style of listening and researching music.

Q: What are you working on right now?
Grace: My new EP, I’m in Seattle right now recording

Mae: I’ve been doing shoots (that’ll be coming out soon) with people I’ve wanted to work with for my whole career- which is super exciting.

Q: What are you working on next?
Grace: Getting ready to go play Reading & Leeds festival at the end of the summer in the UK! (Hopefully)

Mae: Been working on some collaborations – one being with my best friend/ makeup artist, Isze Cohen AKA frostiedelite; we’re planning a makeup look book with some curated looks by her and myself. Also am working on designing some pieces for a streetwear brand’s first women’s collection.

Q: What is the best sound?
Grace: Jeff Buckley’s voice

Mae: Pharrell’s signature 4 count start, that’s how you know it’ll be a banger.

Q: What is your favorite part of your creative process?
Grace: writing lyrics, it’s like a puzzle to me

Mae: My favorite part of the creative process is creating the mood board, when I’m in that mode life is extra beautiful because I’m constantly searching for inspiration.

Q: What is your favorite color?
Grace: pink

Mae: Emerald green.

Q: What artist do you admire the most?
Grace: it’s really hard to narrow that down to one person but some of my favorites would be Mark Sandman, Nancy Sinatra, and Iggy Pop

Mae: If you know me you know I’m obsessed with Damon Albarn. Blur and Gorillaz are two of my favorite bands, I adore his sound, style, and overall vision.

Q: If you were a cocktail, what would you be?
Grace: Tequila soda with lime

Mae: Tequila soda.

Q: What is the greatest feeling in the world?
Grace: Falling in love

Mae:  Smoking a joint with best friends after a long day of work.

Q: What was the last thing that made you laugh really hard?
Grace: probably something my best friend Lucy said when we were hungover

Q: What is the last text message in your phone?
Grace:  “yeah they’ll be here around 2”

Mae: A job confirmation from my agents

Q: What was the last song you listened to on repeat?
Grace: “Cigarette Packet” – Sorry (check … on playlist!!)

Q: If you could supervise music for a TV show or a movie, what would it be?
Grace: Well, there’s definitely a few movie soundtracks that have been pivotal listening moments in my life, like the Virgin Suicides soundtrack, or the haunting synth-drenched music from Twin Peaks. If I had to supervise music for a TV show or movie though it would probably be American Horror Story, it would be fun to incorporate Nine Inch Nails and David Lynch tracks.

Mae: My favorite movie Velvet Goldmine! Although the soundtrack is already perfect.
