My story was born on the couch of a loft after a dinner party with Cecile. We were discussing our origin stories and my love of tornadoes. From there, it escalated into a whirlwind of ideas.

This was a really special few days with people that became friends — lots of laughs and snow and making something even when it was freezing outside. I’ll always remember talking to everyone we shot about how strange of a place Oklahoma is.

Unemployed Magazine is not a magazine it’s a honey pot of inspiration and amazing ideas and images you want to hang inside your home.

Lately I’ve been delving into more moving image and working on a script. It’s a process completely different than photographs but I love it.

My creative process involves a lot of image research, writing, pulling from film stills, old ideas twisted into something new, inspiration from dreams. It’s really haphazard and it depends what the final product will be.

Recently I’ve been listening to a lot of PJ Harvey and Ween.

I would be a mezcal margarita that you are sipping in between jumps into the ocean. A little spicy, a little sweet.

Your best ideas are born in the wee morning hours of 7AM or right before your head hits the pillow — don’t constrict yourself to thinking that’s all there is.
