Q: Who are you?
A: A fashion victim.
Q: Tell us about your playlist.
A: It has been an extraordinary few weeks as our world faces historic challenges with the growing pandemic. Amid the stress and uncertainty, it’s never been more critical to stay connected with one another, even as we practice social distancing to reduce transmission and keep each other healthy and safe. I remain dedicated to keeping you entertained with this new mix that I hope you will enjoy during this special time. Thank you for your continued support as we navigate this journey, and I hope everyone remains healthy and safe.
Q: What are you working on right now?
A: Lots of projects for The Webster, some of them linking music and fashion actually. Last month we were the first brick-and-mortar store to drop the J Balvin x Murakami collection and earlier this month we launched an exclusive capsule collaboration with Keinemusik and MISBHV.
Q: What are you working on next?
A: Working on a new drop for Ensemble. Inspired by the diverse identities of each one of us. Next thing will be back on the demented fashion calendar in September.
Q: What is the best story from a set or performance?
A: Afterparty in NYC, it’s 6am, the sun rises. A fake shaman is massaging my back to balance my sacral chakra while a promoter is teaching Yoga poses to a model.
Q: What is the best sound?
A: The sound of the bass at the rave when you’re in the bathroom and everyone around is doing drugs.
Q: What is your favorite part of your creative process?
A: Capturing sounds of the everyday world to include them in songs or mixes.
Q: What is your favorite color?
A: Facebook Blue.
Q: What artist do you admire the most?
A: I’m into appropriation artists a lot these days. A preference for Richard Pettibone.
Q: If you were a cocktail, what would you be?
A: Virgin Pornstar Martini.
Q: What is the greatest feeling in the world?
A: “I love to make people dance; it’s a great way of bringing people together regardless of religion, nationality, sexuality or belief.” cc David Guetta
Q: What was the last thing that made you laugh really hard?
A: Another edit of the Ghana’s dancing pallbearers video.
Q: What is the last text message in your phone?
A: A fake venmo request from my brother.
Q: What was the last song you listened to on repeat?
A: “Jul” – Italia
Q: If you could supervise music for a TV show or a movie, what would it be?
A: The next Gaspar Noe project.
